With more than ten years in the information technology sector, Socrates Gerokostas has spent a majority of his life learning (and loving!) all things IT. Working as an IT consultant for major tech companies, he specializes in securing digital environments, ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability for agencies and clients. He is adept when it comes to programming languages and has practiced ethical hacking with the likes of Kali Linux and Wireshark.

Before discovering his calling in the Cybersecurity field, Socrates had already built his first desktop by the age of 18. It was no surprise, however, as he had discovered an innate ability to understand technology at an early age. Socrates graduated from Utica University with a degree in cybersecurity, with a specialization in cyber operations, before turning to the world of IT consulting. However, he has yet to stop pursuing his passion for knowledge!

Socrates was born and raised in Astoria, NY as a Greek/American. When he is not spending his time taking courses and learning the latest technological advancements in the IT field, he is probably listening to music, watching anime, or spending time with his dog. It is Socrates’ goal to eventually pursue a medical degree with a focus on neurology, as he was diagnosed with Aspergers in his late twenties. This led to his study and comparison of dog behavior and its link to ADHD and autism.
